Read these, please! You are expected to read and understand these. Not paying attention may impact your application.

1. It is of utmost importance that you check your Status Page frequently to see what materials have been received and if there are any course deficiencies or other application problems. The Status Page contains “Admissions Staff Messages,” also known as the “Message Board.” This will be the way admissions staff will communicate with you and you need to respond through this message board. The Status Page will come up as soon as you log in.

2. The Status Page will list your application status (where it is in the process), what we have received, transcripts we expect you to send and courses we expect you to complete, your calculated required science and last 45 credits GPAs as we calculate them, the Message Board, and your final status when decisions are made.

3. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see that all materials are submitted and arrive by the specified deadline. Please send a message via the Message Board if you have concerns about materials arriving by the deadline. If we are not contacted at least 2-3 days prior to the deadline and the materials are received after the deadline, the application will be withdrawn. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Again, we are happy to work with you concerning problems but the applicant must send a message via the Message Board at least 2-3 days prior to the deadline posted.

4. There is a non-refundable $75 ($95 non-US citizen) processing fee due when you submit your application. The processing may be paid by credit/debit card or by a check or money order payable to Iowa State University with your signature page. The signature page and fee must be submitted or postmarked by September 15, 2021. The processing fee is good for two consecutive application cycles. Iowa State University degree-seeking students and alumni do not need to pay this fee. The signature page must still be completed.

5. We use the “Legal State of Residence” in the CITIZENSHIP INFORMATION section of the VMCAS application as your official state of residence.

6. You will receive a Message Board communication concerning your final application status February 15, 2022. The final application decision will be posted on your Status Page.
